Frequently Asked Questions about the Hus, B&B in Cranleigh

Q: Do we take pets?
A: Unfortunately, not. There is a grumpy family cat, Sami, in residence who tends to nip at the heels of dogs of all sizes, so we have had to say no to pets. Sami does steer clear of guests although he will take the opportunity to enter the house when guests return late at night, instead of using his cat flap!
Q: Is there public transport?
A: There has been no rail station since the Beeching cuts in 1966 but there are regular buses to Guildford and Horsham train stations, both eight miles away. Both stations serve London in about 40 minutes travel time.
Q: How close to the airports?
A: Gatwick Airport is only 35 minutes away by car or by train or bus from Horsham. Heathrow Airport is one hour away by car. Alternatively, Heathrow is served by an Express Bus from Guildford.
Q: Does the Hus have Wi-Fi?
A: The Hus has excellent BT superfast broadband throughout. Each room is also hard wired for broadband which is popular with business people. There are no televisions in the rooms because we have found that guests would rather use their own Tablets and Laptops to watch films and TV.
Q: Are children and babies welcome?
A: Absolutely! We love them! Although our biggest room, only has a double and single bed, we do have a further collapsible bed we can set up for a second child. We do not have any cots currently but are looking for one!
Q: How about smokers?
A: No smoking anywhere inside the house. However, a smoking spot has been allocated outside the front.
